About Counties Manukau District: Counties Manukau District provides quality healthcare services to a large and fast-growing multi-cultural community in the south of New Zealand's largest city, Auckland.
Counties Manukau District is a large tertiary teaching hospital.
The hospital has a wide Casemix with approximately 10,000+ discharges a month.
The opportunity: We have exciting opportunities for Clinical Coders to join our Clinical Coding team.
These roles are based at Middlemore Hospital and we are looking for individuals who are keen to work for the roles outline below;
Permanent full time Monday to FridayCasual role Monday to Friday, on call basis and need to be available to cover at short notice.Our Clinical Coding team is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are committed team players and bring a positive outlook and professional work ethic to our team.
About you: Our ideal candidate will have a minimum three-year recent coding experience using ICD-10-AM ACS /ACHI 11th and/or 12th edition at a tertiary level health service.
Those who passed the ACE Coding Course are also welcome to apply.
Successful applicants will commence as a member of the Clinical Coding team as soon as practicable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong English comprehension is essential.

The Clinical Coding Department, at Middlemore hospital currently operates under the National Clinical Coding Framework Progression Criteria.
