About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Coder, at Developing level or above (Clinical Coding Framework) for a permanent part-time position, based at Hawkes Bay hospital, but consideration will also be given to working off-site. You would be joining a happy team, who is also hardworking and focused. We have a staff of 9 with some working remotely.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Clinical Coding Team utilises scanned, paper and electronic health records to accurately code all inpatient episodes of care. Using the latest 3M Encoder Software and National Coding Standards, our team participates in ongoing education and training activities.
About You
To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
Successful completion of a recognised ICD-10-AM, ACHI & ACS clinical coding qualification using the current ICD-10-AM edition.
Demonstrated ability to accurately analyse and abstract information for coding to meet quality and quantity targets.
The ability to communicate effectively in all forms, and ability to work independently whilst having a strong focus on achieving team goals.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
