Clinical Administrator | General Medicine Start Date – As soon as possible
Status – Fixed term to May 2025 working 40 hours per week
Location – Christchurch Hospital
Mo teturanga - About the Role
This role plays a vital part in supporting the General Medicine Department from an administrative perspective. This role requires you to achieve transcription objectives for the team as well as playing a key role in welcoming patients and whanau to the department.
We are looking for either a candidate that is looking for a full-time role. Hours of work are flexible, but required to work Monday to Friday.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Liaise with patients, clinical and non-clinical staff
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Dictation of letters
Managing referral letters
Manage patient bookings and appointments
Coding and data entry
Liaise with clinical staff
Nga Pukenga me te Wheako - Skills and Experience
Typing skills (typing speed of 50 – 70 WPM)
Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Ability to work under pressure
Experience with Health Connect South and/or SIPICS systems is desired
Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
Medical terminology would be very beneficial
