Client Coordinator - Production Animal

This role is a hub of contact between our production animal vets, vet technicians, and rural farming clients. The Client Coordinator - PA is responsible for the delivery of an exceptional experience for rural farming clients in conjunction with our on-farm teams. Being able to quickly build a positive rapport over the phone with clients is essential, as is a good understanding of on-farm activities, farming client's needs and expectations, and the unique challenges and pressures faced by this industry. Our vet and tech teams' days need to be planned efficiently, while also coordinating with the other Aorangi Vet Services clinics to ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time. Therefore, a thorough knowledge of how a vet clinic works is required to do this job. Because problems are not uncommon, this role holder will also need strong problem-solving skills to identify a problem and take the necessary steps to overcome it, while keeping stakeholders and financial implications in mind. Excellent communication and tight collaboration with the PA vets and Clinic Manager will be a requirement in many cases as will a commitment to continuous improvement. The successful role holder will always be looking at what and how client services and processes are delivered to see if results are achieved most efficiently and effectively. There is also an administration aspect to the role, entering charge sheets, writing reports, and dealing with laboratory samples. This is a fast-paced role that is critical to the business and would suit someone who can multi-task, think on their feet, and who loves to problem solve. This role is full-time at 40 hours per week. You will be expected to share the rostered Saturday morning clinics, so some knowledge of veterinary nursing would be useful. We are looking for someone with: 2-3 years of experience in an agri-business or mixed veterinary practice A very good phone manner Confidence and competence when using computer software Approachable, personable, and empathetic with a passion for outstanding customer service and an enthusiastic approach, plus a willingness to learn and take on responsibility. The ability to work well within a team environment The ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure and be detail-oriented Knowledge of farming practices and large animal products Vet nursing skills would be an advantage About us We are an owner/operator mixed animal practice proudly serving Canterbury and the Mackenzie Country for more than 45 years.
