Ventia's NSW Schools contract delivers quality cleaning services in public schools, catholic schools and government facilities across various regions. We're excited to be hiring newly created Area Cleaning Supervisors & Assistant Cleaning Supervisors to be a part of our fresh, brand new onboarding & training program that will provide you the tools to be successful.
This role will involve frequent travel throughout the Western Sydney region. We will endeavor to allocate you a region close to your home, ideally locations around Penrith, Parramatta, Schofields, Windsor, and Marsden Park.
To be successful in this role, you must be flexible and willing to work different hours each day. Most days you'll commence on site at 5am, others you'll start later and work through the afternoon/evening. No two days are the same and being adaptable to the needs of the business is critical. Benefits: Attractive salary package of $90,000 inclusive of Super for Area Supervisors and $80,000 inclusive of Super for Assistant Supervisors.Company car that you can take home with fuel included.Flexibility in your work hours – manage your own day.Full-time, stable, permanent role.Access to employee benefits such as corporate travel discounts, novated leases, private health discounts, credit discounts, and more.Internal career opportunities across the schools contract as well as the bigger Ventia business.Access to a variety of Health and Wellness initiatives - including the EAP, Ventia's Healthy Minds program, and Healthy Bodies program.Be surrounded by a respectful, supportive, and tenured team, as well as a manager who is focused on your professional growth and development.We have a strong organisational culture which celebrates diversity and encourages passion, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and empowerment.A day in the life: Managing an efficient roster of full-time, part-time, and casual employees.Be prepared to do some hands-on cleaning at times when required.Manage your staff daily, including on call for sick leave or general inquiries.Ensuring all school sites are compliant in relation to site documentation, equipment, chemicals, and consumables to achieve contractual compliance.Communicating effectively with clients, customers, and staff on issues pertaining to service delivery, operational issues, project progress, and continual improvement.Supervising staff and providing ongoing training and development.Performing regular inspections to ensure work is delivered at the highest standard.Promoting and monitoring safe work practices.About you: Resilient and capable of supervising approx. 30-35 cleaners across all shift times.Demonstrated supervisory experience is desirable.An ability to lead, motivate, and influence your staff members to deliver excellent results.An approachable, collaborative leader, who promotes a happy work culture.Strong time management and multitasking skills.Experience with Microsoft programs, Excel, Outlook, etc.Please note that as part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical, reference checks, and be able to obtain a Police and Working With Children Clearance (WWCC).
