The Opportunity This permanent full time role supports our National Operations Manager by managing cleaning /"soft services" at event & function venues in the Wellington Region.
We are looking for an energetic experienced person, with the availability to work weekends, who enjoys a challenge and working in a dynamic industry.
The role's key focus is to schedule and manage delivery of cleaning & soft services to our clients.
Profile We want to hear from you If you consider yourself to have excellent communication skills – oral and written; proven supervisory, management and organisational skills; enjoy working in a dynamic environment; are solutions focused with a good eye for detail.
Our successful applicant must be able to interact with a variety of people including staff, clients and the general public.
You must be physically fit and have a high level of self-motivation as well as the ability to motivate a team to consistently deliver the highest standard of service, so what we are looking for is someone who can describe themselves as: Experience of developing work schedules and rosters.
Experience of resourcing, managing, coaching and developing a team.
Experience of budget management & billing services.
Competent using MS Office, computers, tablets & smart phones.
Knowledge of managing services across multiple or complex sites.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
Knowledge of working in or managing Events/Functions.
Knowledge of delivering cleaning standards.
Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
Knowledge and management principles for relevant equipment, property, and client contractual requirements.
Knowledge of principles and procedures of workplace health and safety practices.
New Zealand Diploma/Certificate in Business, Event Management or Cleaning (with strands in Specialist Cleaning, Supervision) Management would be an advantage; or at least 2-5 years' experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
