Cleaning Assistant (Full-time) - ESS WaiouruAbove market hourly rate plus corporate benefits such as discounts on Health insurance etc!Access to the amenities such as sporting facilities (Gym, pool etc)!Learning, development and career progression opportunities that are varied and exciting!We are looking for multiple enthusiastic and reliable Permanent Full-time Cleaning Assistants to work at NZDF- Waiouru. A Cleaner is an employee who, at the completion of their training and induction, is capable of utilizing a range of materials and equipment to clean various surfaces to restore or maintain buildings in a clean and hygienic condition. This role requires a pro-active approach to safety and utilization of all safety equipment and procedures provided by Compass Group.
Waiouru is located on the south-eastern North Island Volcanic Plateau, 130 km north of Palmerston North and 25 km south-east of Mount Ruapehu. It is 30 minutes from Taupo and a similar distance from Ohakune. World-renowned Tongariro National Park and Whanganui National Park set the backdrop for truly unique New Zealand experiences. The community is proactive and offers plenty of events you can choose to be a part of.
In this position:
You will be responsible for cleaning accommodation rooms (including bathrooms) by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and making beds as a daily requirement.You must be a fast worker and a team player but should also be able to work alone.You must have a good awareness of health & safety and follow safe working procedures, as there will be some heavy lifting involved.Assist with other general cleaning duties as required.Working days will be Monday - Sunday, which will be run through a rostering system; more details will be given to the successful candidate.You will have high standards in regard to cleaning and personal presentation, as well as a friendly, helpful, and positive 'can-do' attitude.You will be physically fit, reliable, on-time, flexible, and honest.You must be a team player and have a passion for health and safety.Holding a NZ Drivers Licence is preferred but not required.Compass Group offers a competitive benefits program designed to meet the diverse needs of our people.
