Classroom Teacher

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 27/01/2025, End Date: 12/12/2025 (Covering role whilst the school recruits permanently)
Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
We are looking for a culturally responsive, reflective and collaborative teacher to join our Kura for 2025 working alongside a dedicated and passionate team. This will be in a Maori medium bi-lingual class and te reo support will be provided.
Responsibilities: Work collegially with all staff across the school and demonstrate our KORAU values through words and actions.
Have some experience in te reo Maori me ona tikanga and be open to learning.
Have experience teaching across the curriculum.
Be open to take part in te reo PLD.
Develop successful learning programmes tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
Fully contribute to the success and strength of the team and our staff as a whole.
Be willing to become part of the Koraunui School whanau.
Our school has a diverse ethnic makeup including 45% of our students identifying as Maori and 20% identifying as Pasifika. Experience, knowledge and understanding of working with diverse ethnic groups is a requirement for our staff.
