We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic classroom release teacher to join our junior school team. This position involves providing classroom and unit holder release across our Y0–6 classes in full immersion classes. Our school is a Maori Medium Kura a Iwi.
Key responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
Supporting classroom teachers by covering their release time.
Contributing to the overall development and wellbeing of students.
Supporting with teacher duties during play times.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
A strength in te reo Maori would be highly advantageous.
Proven experience in teaching at the primary school level.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
A commitment to nurturing positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
Must be flexible.
