Summary: The role of the Team Leader is to assist the wider operations unit with the daily operations of the Senior Move Managers staff, vehicles and materials in their region of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conducting initial surveys for paid and private moves.
Coordination of all team members on a daily basis.
Coordination of all service providers and subcontractors for each job.
Take a lead in the training and compliance of packers and cleaning staff.
Take a lead in the stock maintenance and ordering of packaging supplies.
Assisting with reports; assessment of breakages, injuries and incidents.
Vehicle compliance reports.
Secondary Responsibilities: Advising on and updating standard operating procedures.
Qualifications: Completion of SMM online training.
Qualified as a Packer and Cleaner.
Class 2 NZ Drivers Licence.
Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
Ability to work independently and/or with a team, exercise good judgment and sound decision-making required.
Competencies: Ethical Conduct Decision-Making/Problem-Solving Customer Service Communication Proficiency Strong Leadership Skills Physical Demands: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use arms and hands; frequently required to climb or balance, talk or actively listen; and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must be able to walk forward, backward, side to side, and/or up and down stairs while carrying furniture.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving parts, outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat or cold weather.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position operates during standard business hours with flexibility for early morning, evening and/or weekends to best meet client needs.
