At BHSI we view every claim as an opportunity to strengthen our customer relationships. The role of Claims Consultant, Liability is an external customer facing role and will support our claims offering in all liability lines. In this role the Claims Consultant will work in a company that is dedicated to being best in class and will be based in our Auckland, NZ office.
Duties & Responsibilities:Manage claims across all liability lines including Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Cyber, Financial Institutions and General Liability from first notice of loss through to ultimate resolution in accordance with the BHSI Claims Service Standards, which ensure the highest level of customer service.Maintain high quality claim files from a technical content standpoint.Analyse coverage and draft coverage position letters that effectively communicate coverage positions.Assess loss exposures and post timely and accurate file reserves.Work closely with underwriters, actuaries and other areas of the business to report on claim developments and trends and support the delivery of BHSI's plans, goals and objectives.Occasional travel to client/broker meetings, mediations, conferences and other industry events.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Proven experience with Liability Claims is preferred.Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.Strong time management and organisation skills, and ability to manage claims across multiple products.BHSI Offers:A competitive package and exciting growth opportunities for career-oriented teammates.A liberating, fast-paced culture, centred on always doing the right thing for our customers, teammates and our business.A purposely non-bureaucratic organisation that embraces simplicity over complexity and emphasises individual excellence in a team framework.NOTE: Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
