You will have experience with leading a team (people management) and be able to guide and mentor less experienced staff. You will have a strong focus on building client relationships. You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), or be working towards it, with a good variety of land development project experience. Experience in design of greenfield developments would be a strong plus.This position presents an outstanding chance to play a pivotal role in a rapidly expanding company with a large pipeline, collaborating with an exceptional team on substantial projects. This role has direct reports, we are currently structured in teams of 4, however this may increase over time. You'll play a crucial role in engaging with a diverse clientele, actively seeking opportunities to enhance value through your contributions. You will lead a team of civil engineers and engineering designers, providing support and mentoring.Key Responsibilities:Leadership of an Engineering TeamEngineering Design for Land Development projectsThe primary deliverables for this role include generating infrastructure reports and civil drawings for land development projects, providing guidance and support for your team, managing client relationships, pricing new projects, and managing projects budgets. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to conduct site inspections as your designs progress to construction. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped for the responsibilities of the position.In this role, you will be tasked with offering innovative solutions and delivering excellent service to a broad spectrum of clients, including those in the public sector, architects, planners, developers, builders, and individuals. Your role will be pivotal, and we place trust in your ability to deliver results.Technical Skills and Knowledge:Strong land development skills and knowledge including servicing design, roading design, TIN modellingYou may have civil design skills in either 12D or Civil3D, but will learn ArcGIS, on which our bespoke software is basedKnowledge of Auckland planning rules and engineering codes of practiceGood working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suiteThe ability to think through problems and come up with solutionsThe ability to learn from mistakesTeam managementClient relationship managementOrganisedAccountableQualifications:You will have or be working towards CPEng and hold a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, or similar.You may have design skills in either 12D or Civil3D but will learn ArcGIS, on which our software is based.Please submit your CV and a cover letter briefly explaining your experience and career goals.
