Civil Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor located in either Hamilton or Tauranga who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project QS tender process for vertical civil construction projects.
The person will be involved in a wide variety of projects including roading, subdivisions, earthwork, building foundations, and drainage projects. The responsibilities include:

Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
Scaling of plans.
Building schedule of quantities or bill of quantities.
Manual measuring of quantities.
Working with Project Managers on live projects to prepare month-end reports.
Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
Advising on a procurement strategy.
Identifying, analyzing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Being part of a 3-person QS team.

Experience Required:

3 years of civil experience, with experience in New Zealand ideally.
Knowledge and experience with New Zealand suppliers.
Experience with vertical civil construction work.
Scaling of plans.
Building schedule of quantities or bill of quantities.
Manual measuring.
