Being on time, keeping things tidy and supporting our community are key values reflected throughout the company.The Role:This role is primarily responsible for the operation of plant and equipment used in the piling and construction projects.
As an operator, you are responsible for the safety and efficiency of the plant equipment and ensure that it is properly maintained.
The role includes working in a team environment, either supervised or supervising, or working independently, depending on the scope of the project you are assigned to.Your Responsibilities:Operating cranes, excavators, trucks or specialized piling equipment and other mobile machines or vehicles according to level of experience and licenses held.Complying with safe operating procedures and best practices for the machinery.Assisting with or completing site set out duties as instructed by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.The Requirements:The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry and will also have the following skills:Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.Reasonable knowledge and understanding of plant and machinery used in civil construction.Ideally, you would have WTR, Rigging and Dogging certificate, Forklift licence as a minimum.Travel will be required.Applicants for the position will need to be legally allowed to work in NZ.What can we do for you?Pay rate will be $32 - $38 based on your skill level and experience, with a minimum of 47.5 hours.Travel and meal allowance, if working outside of Hawkes Bay.Subsided health insurance.Opportunity for growth and career advancement within the company.Ongoing training and development opportunities.A supportive and inclusive work environment.Access to Boost benefits that have a range of discounts available.If you are ready to embark on a challenging yet fulfilling career in civil construction, we want to hear from you!
