We are looking for people to join WSP who have a passion for civil engineering laboratory testing and want to pursue a career in this vital industry.The Opportunity:Our Auckland Laboratory is looking for Civil Materials Laboratory Technicians to join their team. Previous experience in a civil engineering laboratory is beneficial but not required; full training will be provided.You will be required to conduct hands-on testing of civil engineering materials, such as concrete, asphalt, soils, bitumen and aggregates to NZ and International Standards. These roles will involve a variety of projects working in the laboratory or out in the field. There will be the occasional night shift work with these roles.Please note that a criminal history check and references are a pre-employment requirement for this role; and a drug and alcohol test may also be required.About You:Previous experience in a civil engineering laboratory or a recent high school leaver and/or previous experience working in a labour/trades role, such as construction, roading, warehousing or farming.A good level of fitness and strength, as these roles can be physically demanding and require heavy lifting of materials (up to 30kg).Holds a current clean NZ driver's license.Excellent communication skills and a team player.Willing to travel as and when required for work.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.WSP NZ has proudly earned its place among the top five employers to work for in Aotearoa New Zealand, as recognised in Randstad's latest employer survey.
