Provide strong leadership, manage staff, develop business opportunities, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards in a safe work environment.
Role: You will be responsible for managing projects in the region of $5m plus, including sub-divisions, road construction, structures, and bulk earthworks projects across the region. This is a leading contractor in the civil infrastructure sector with a strong forward workload and projects all over NZ! There is a huge variety in this role, including the range of project involvement and plenty of scope to enhance your career. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide senior leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring successful project delivery.Manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting to reach financial targets.Oversee contract administration, compliance, and risks.Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships.Ensure a safe work environment for all.Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.To be successful in this role: You will be a dynamic and driven Project Manager who leads with passion and integrity to drive projects to successful delivery.Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of NZS 3910 and 3916, and an understanding of the Construction Contracts Act.Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.Extensive experience across the spectrum of civil infrastructure projects, with a MINIMUM of 5 years of successful projects of 10m+ in NZ.Be commercially astute and manage project financials and cost control.Superb communication skills, both oral and written.Proven leadership and delivery experience.Benefits Include: VehicleEmployee education fundA financial fund for welfare for when hardship happensConfidential, professional medical, security, mental health, and wellbeing servicesEmployee share planA wide range of useful retail discountsVery strong parental leave packageYou must be a New Zealand Resident or be eligible to live and work in New Zealand and want to live and work in the Manawatu.
