Position Summary: As an ENGEO Geotechnical Engineer with a specialty in Numerical Modeling, we would love to see you come in and hit the ground running. While working with ENGEO's Senior and Principal leaders, you will gain geotechnical experience working on a wide variety of challenging, world-renowned projects. You will be encouraged and supported to manage increasingly complex and seismically challenging projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Use numeric modeling to develop engineering recommendations for design and construction of private and public projects.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, subcontractors, city agents, project managers (locally and in other regional offices), and peers.
Perform well-defined field, analytical, and project administrative responsibilities with direction and encouragement from project managers and senior staff.
May be assigned increasingly more complex, non-routine tasks with review and oversight from senior leadership.

Requirements:
Our Ideal Candidate:
Robust understanding of numerical modeling such as the finite element method (FEM) and/or finite difference method (FDM), including:
Boundary conditions
Wave propagation
Constitutive models
Working knowledge of FEM and/or FDM software programs such as PLAXIS, FLAC, LS-DYNA, or equivalent programs in 2D and 3D
Robust knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering fundamentals and Soil-Structure Interaction
Coding capability in Python and/or Matlab
All Candidate Criteria:
Education: M.S. degree in a relevant field, Ph.D. preferred
Experience: 5-7+ years
Earthquake engineering knowledge a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS experience a plus
Robust writing and communicative skills
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse environment
Have the ability to work and succeed as a team also while being resourceful when working alone

Salary Description: Approximate Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000
