Permanent Full-time role
A top-tier civil engineering company, specializing in diverse infrastructure projects, is seeking an experienced Estimator with a successful track record of securing large-scale project awards in Auckland.
Duties & Responsibilities Your responsibilities are to:
Prepare subcontract and materials inquiries and review subsequent quotations.
Manage costs throughout the project life cycle.
Experience in cost planning, bills of quantity preparation, measuring cost plans and contract administration.
Check labour and plant resources accumulated in the cost estimate balance with those derived from the tender program.
Providing accurate commercial advice to Construction Managers, Project Managers and the Senior Management team.
Prepare the commercial tender for submission to the client.
Prepare and present the commercial handover documents to the contract delivery team.
Liaise with construction teams to ensure that output and resource data are collected, providing feedback for future tenders.
Desired Experience & Qualification The successful candidate will bring to the role:
Has a Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or construction-related qualification.
Experience in estimation softwares such as costX, benchmark, Excel, and Candy CCS.
Has a background with previous demonstrated experience in successfully estimating and winning large-scale projects by managing an established team.
An in-depth appreciation of engineering techniques, construction processes, and their suitability.
Able to manage multiple tenders concurrently or singular large value tender.
Practiced in quantification and familiar with standard measurement methods and standard forms of contract.
Excellent communication skills. You must be able to professionally and assertively convey communication to all involved.
An attractive salary ranging from $120k-$140k + car + assistance with visas/relocation etc. (negotiable dependent on your experience).
