Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Civil Engineering Technician.
The Civil Engineering Technician will be responsible for a range of tasks related to civil engineering design, land surveying, and computer-aided design (CAD).
The role is primarily based in Auckland.
Job Descriptions:Plan and design the construction of structures within projects including providing technical assistance with construction of buildings and other structures.Application of civil engineering concepts to assist and advise accordingly.Prepare construction plans noting the budget and the various variable costs and timetable for completion.Organize maintenance and repairs as and where required.Prepare estimates in terms of time, costs, labour and material.Ensure that work conducted is within the realms of relevant legislation as well as appropriate standards.Prepare engineering reports and applications on behalf of clients for engineering approval to council.Monitoring and inspection of all civil and survey works.Conduct field testing of materials and equipment and report to site engineer as required.Liaise with any applicable third parties, including clients, consultants, design team and the council.Discuss and report any design, construction or planning problems with engineers and other team members.Any other tasks and duties that are required to be completed in your role as a Civil Engineering Technician.Responsibilities:Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills.Proficient in Communication and Collaboration.Land Surveying knowledge and experience.Computer-Aided Design (CAD) proficiency.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience in the HVAC industry is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (NZQA LEVEL 7) will be an advantage.What you will Get:Pay rate: $30 - $34
Minimum Hours of Work: 30 Hours a Week
Maximum Hours of Work: 45 Hours a Week
