With business humming and plenty of projects in their pipeline, New Plymouth based Engineering firm, Arawai are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join their awesome team.

What you'll be doing

This role will support the Managing Director, Mike Matangi to lead the small Arawai team through various three waters and transport based engineering projects. You will be working closely with regional authorities and land developers on significant civil projects.

This unique, hybrid role involves involvement in technical design, project management, client engagement and team leadership - the full works!

This would suit a Senior Civil Engineer with an eagerness to step into a people leadership role, or an existing Team Lead looking for their next challenge.

Ongoing professional development

About you

We are all about workplace diversity and inclusion. Attitude and motivation are the key requirements for this role along with the following:

Diploma, NZCE or Degree Qualification in Civil Engineering
5+ years experience working on a wide range of civil projects - three waters, transportation/roading
Good experience using AutoDesk Civil 3D and stormwater modelling Packages preferred
Great communication and interpersonal skills
A supportive and motivating nature – we are all about encouraging the entire team to do their best work for our clients
