This role focuses on building and strengthening our New Zealand/Pacific Aviation business through the delivery of projects and technical leadership, coaching and mentoring our people whilst offering innovative solutions for our internal, existing and new clients across the local government and private sectors.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Lead and assist with Aviation and Transport related projects
Work on the delivery of small to medium sized multidisciplinary aviation infrastructure projects
Providing innovative and groundbreaking solutions to our clients
Client Liaison – Develop credible business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard.
Project Management - Proven project management and implementation of a range of projects involving investigation and reporting, economic evaluation, preparation of estimates, design, contract documentation and contract surveillance.
Mentoring and Coaching - Provide guidance to graduate engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them.
Technical Leadership – Provide technical inputs and leadership to projects.
Quality Assurance - Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence, and other deliverables

What you will bring to the team:

Tertiary qualified (BE or equivalent) with 7 plus years' experience in Civil/Airports/Roads related projects
Experience in investigation, pavement design and delivery of pavement related projects
Excellent knowledge of the aviation/road sector, including applicable design codes, standards and guidelines etc.
Understanding of other civil engineering sectors, particularly around drainage, planning and environment
The ability to support pavement team with design inputs and seek opportunities to strengthen services to our clients on multidisciplinary and complex projects;
Working knowledge of public and private sector;
Experience in apron, taxiway and runway pavement design, pavement condition assessments/indexing with visual or mathematical condition indexing and PCN/ACN determinations. Pavement Management experience will be advantageous.
Knowledge of pavement design software programmes, specifically FAA FAARFIELD or APSDS and the application of FAA AC150/ent communication skills (both verbal and written)
