As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for top-quality people to add to our team.What You Will Be DoingG&H is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our team of Civil engineers and land surveyors. You would be the lead civil engineer on land development projects from conceptual to completion, including all required permitting. Varied project work includes residential and commercial, both small and large scale. Full-time position requires a broad range of experience necessary to support public and private clients, as well as provide support to our in-house land surveying staff. The successful candidate must be capable of working in a team environment in a small office setting.Perform office-related civil engineering in a dynamic and fast-paced work environmentProduce high-quality designs in Auto CAD Civil 3D. Tasks include:Create plans from scratch, both commercial and residentialDesign grading for individual and multiple lot sitesDesign septic systems in accordance with Mass Title 5 requirementsDesign and permit subdivisions, including roadways, drainage, and sewer designsCreate corridors, road profiles, and pipe runsCreate and manipulate surfaces and perform volume calculationsPerform drainage analysis for land development projects for both commercial and residential using Hydro CAD or similar productsMeet the client's needs in an efficient and cost-effective mannerWork in a team environment with the land surveyors and engineersPrioritize workload to meet changing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProject manage civil projects including permitting, design, and as-built close out. Deliver projects on time and on budgetWhat You Need to QualifyHave at least five years' experience designing and permitting land use and land development projects (residential and commercial)BS in Civil Engineering, & have your EIT; a PE is a plus, soil evaluator a plusExperience designing septic systems in Mass following Title Five requirementsProficient in Auto CAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling analysis using Hydro CAD or similar productsProficient in site grading, road, sewer, and drainage designProficient in English, both spoken and written, and possess strong communication skillsOther QualificationsAbility to manage multiple priorities; project management and estimating skills requiredExperience attending public hearings at the City and Town levelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work cohesively in a team environmentSelf-sufficient person who can be relied on to follow through on assigned tasksMaintain a valid driver license and have a good driving recordAbout the CompanyFor over 50 years, Guerriere & Halnon, Inc. has been providing top-quality Civil Engineering and Land Surveying services in Central Mass.
