My client is seeking an experienced CPEng Civil Design Engineer to contribute to a sustainable future and join the rapidly expanding Renewable Energy sector in New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific.QualificationsCivil Engineer degree CPEng NZ (& AU desirable) specialising in Land development/ EarthworksBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering design, with at least 3-5 years in a management role.Strong knowledge of civil design principles, practices, and standards.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, at least one structural analysis software (Dlubal RFEM/ CYPE 3D / SAP 2000).Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.Job Description:The Civil Design Manager is responsible for overseeing, reviewing and completing design calculations.The role will oversee the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards.Oversee the creation of comprehensive civil designs, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.Ensure designs are accurate, feasible, and comply with all relevant NZ/AU codes.Conduct regular design reviews and audits, identifying and correcting potential issues.Maintain accurate records of quality control processes and outcomes.Provide expert technical advice and support to the design team and other project stakeholders.Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.Conduct risk assessments and safety reviews for all design projects.Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and improvement.Work LocationOffice-based environment with occasional site visits.May require travel to project sites or client meetings.Flexible working hours may be required to meet project deadlines.Benefits for You:Busy yet fun and energetic team.Opportunity to enter the renewables sector throughout the APAC region.Work with a Global organisation.APAC Region responsibility.Salary: $140,000 - $180,000Work Hours: Permanent, full-time position.Located: ChristchurchAbout The CompanyOur client develops and builds high-quality full-turnkey solar power plants.
