Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to define project scope, budget, and timelines, ensuring clarity and alignment from the start.
Craft designs that are not just practical but also innovative, steering clear of over or under-engineering.
Take charge of managing project timelines and budgets, ensuring we hit our quality benchmarks every time.
Spot potential risks early and tackle them head-on to keep projects on track and thriving.
Assist with preparation of tender and construction documentation and participate in evaluations.
Engage with external technical specialists and asset owners to seamlessly incorporate design requirements.
Maintain vibrant communication with all stakeholders, ensuring smooth project delivery and collaboration.
Responsible for the ongoing quality of all aspects of the project's design and ensuring that the respective Eighty6 standards and processes are followed.
Conduct thorough quality inspections during construction phases, against compliance with our engineering designs.
Assist with preparation of concise and impactful engineering reports and documentation as needed.
Work with the Senior Engineers and Directors to ensure your professional growth and success.
Engage in Continuous Learning. Participate in training sessions to stay ahead of the latest trends and technologies in civil engineering.
Set Personal Goals and collaborate with your mentors to establish clear career objectives and pathways, ensuring you have the support needed to achieve them.
Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related qualification (CPEng pathway preferred).
Experience: 4-7 years of relevant civil engineering experience, particularly in NZ land development and infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D; a good understanding of civil engineering principles, including earthworks, stormwater, and wastewater systems.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to challenges.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with Auckland Design Standards and Codes of Practice and have good report writing skills.
