Role Overview: As a Civil Design Engineer at CFP, you will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of civil engineering projects across sectors such as land development, water infrastructure, and transportation. You will be involved in the delivery of design solutions across a wide range of infrastructure projects.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of decision-making, working closely with the CFP team, clients, contractors, and councils to ensure the successful completion of high-quality engineering solutions. With a focus on leading and managing multiple projects, you'll have the opportunity to influence the growth and direction of the team while expanding your own expertise.
Responsibilities: Design and manage projects related to earthworks, wastewater, stormwater, water supply, roading, and flood management.
Lead the preparation of detailed engineering designs, feasibility studies, and project specifications.
Civil Design using 12D and AutoCAD Drawing Production.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, environmental specialists, and planners.
Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in design and drawing production.
Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12D software and AutoCAD.
Good time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of relevant local and national regulations and standards.
Brilliant communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
A tertiary Washington Accord qualification in Civil Engineering or NZ Diploma of Civil Engineering.
A valid New Zealand driver's license, with willingness to travel to project sites.
