Kids, Youth and Young Adults groups, home and connect groupsTumanako – Breakfast, Showers & Laundry Services for the homelessSecond Chances – OpshopTime Out – Weekly arts and crafts groupFoodbank and Freezer Meals for those in needOnline media ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a special person to work with ministry leaders to coordinate and serve as a point of contact for our volunteers. A key aspect of the role is to assist with planning and resources to ensure the ministries, initiatives and services continue smoothly. The person will be working with Eldership on service planning, coordinating volunteers in person and electronically for Sunday Services.You will be part of a small, key team of people operating out of the Lifezone facility at 7 Oak Lane. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strengthen and maintain internal and external relationships.Act as the main point of contact for our ministry leaders and volunteers, handling enquiries and providing support.Ensure policies, procedures and contractual requirements are adhered to.Ensure continuity of ministriesUse Elvanto or similar application to maintain a current record of volunteersEnsure contingency plans are in placeBe prepared to "Step in" where a critical volunteer gap arises Provide reporting to the Eldership and Trustees as appropriateABOUT YOUA person who is helpful, flexible, and able to problem solve while being easy going, approachable and friendlyComfortable interacting with people from all walks of lifeSomeone who is understanding and considerate of othersSomeone who maintains confidentialityA good understanding of Google SuiteHave administration experienceMust have a full class 1 driver's licenceNote: You will be notified after the 31st of March 2024 if your application has been shortlisted.
