Job Type: Fulltime, Will be required to work alternative weekends
Location: Omokoroa
Key Accountabilities:
Contributes to the assessment process of each resident under the guidance of the Unit Manager reflecting the individual resident's functional level, problems, needs and interests.
Plans, schedules, implements and evaluates a programme of individual and/or group activities based on the residents' needs.
Coordinates and participates in resident activities designed to promote social interaction, reality orientation and intellectual stimulation.
Documents activity-related information in the resident's notes.
Assists with escorting residents to and from activities.
Maintains sufficient activity supplies.
Develops a monthly calendar of planned activities.
Contributes to the development of the continuous quality improvement plan for the Activity Programme.
Consistently acts as a role model for safe work practices.
Ensures that all incidents and accidents are reported in accordance with CHT policies and procedures.
Complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, relevant legislation and regulations and CHT's policies and procedures.
Attends and actively participates in team health and safety meetings.
