The role is to plan, co-ordinate and implement chip seal projects within the Southern Surfacing Business Unit. This role assists the sealing leadership team to ensure the delivery sealing works across the wider South Island.
Thisrole will include but not be limited to arranging plant, materials, labour resources and sub-contractors. You will have ownership of projects from estimation, delivery, claiming, through to closing out end of month processes.
Exploring and securing new clients, while building and consolidating current client relationships is a key deliverable in this role.
The position is based in Christchurch, however Southern Surfacing do have projects around the wider South Island. Being a dynamic operation, focused on customer deliverables, working occasional weekends and nights maybe required, as will travel and staying away from home from time to time.
About you:
Our ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Minimum full Class 1 license with a clean driving record Class 2 or 4, and RTW endorsements advantageous but not essential Chip Seal or wider surfacing operational experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills A solid understanding of the Microsoft suite of programmes, including MS Project Must be a team player, self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a can-do attitude Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment with likeminded supportive and experienced crew What we offer:
