We are looking for two full-time Chinese Cooks to join their team. Ideal candidates must have the following:Six months of relevant local work experience in Chinese cuisine is required.Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.Must be flexible to work lunch and dinner shifts and be able to manage two shifts in a day.Full commitment is required.Be reliable, responsible and punctual.Be able to provide a police clearance certificate.Job Responsibilities:Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine dishes are prepared to the specifications.Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met.Ensuring temperatures, seasonings and flavors are to specification.Ensuring all foods are presented and served in a timely manner and in the correct sequence.Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet statutory Health and Safety requirements.Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu.General kitchen cleaning and hygiene duties.In return, we will offer:A stable position in Petone, Lower Hutt, New Zealand.A supportive and friendly team environment.Good pay from $29.66 to $32.00 per hour or above.Guaranteed of 30 to 50 hours per week.If you are interested in working for a friendly team with a clear purpose that is committed to safety, kindness and developing our people we would love to hear from you.Please note: Candidates must have the right to work in New Zealand.
