Working across two primary regions (Otautahi and Tamaki Makaurau) alongside our founder CEO and Board.
Working with the Speed Freaks directly impacts the lives of others.

Building on the impressive three-year growth of the Speed Freaks Trust, the COO will develop and lead the operational structures, systems and processes required to sustain current service provision, in support of our strategic plan.
Ensuring that our curious and innovative approach, is maintained and enable the expansion of delivery across multiple sites in the near future.
This is a full-time role, and some travel will be required.
This position offers the opportunity to work from home and within our local bases in Otautahi and Tamaki Makaurau.
However, our strong preference is for this role to be based in Otautahi.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Development: Work with our CEO to execute our recently reviewed strategy and to develop our day-to-day operations in alignment with our strategic plan and ongoing growth.
Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Specifically, the COO will focus on sustaining and growing both our volunteer pathway and our stakeholder engagement.

Operational Excellence: Ensure our operating model and core processes remain appropriate for the size and scale of the organisation.
Health and Safety, Risk Management: Ensure all legal and statutory requirements are met.
Regularly review policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of risk management and health and safety.
Operational Management: Prioritise existing and plan for future resources, working with the CEO to support the development of our staff team and volunteers.
About you To be successful in this role you will possess excellent communication skills with demonstrated skills and experience of the following; Significant experience working in a related sector at the COO/GM level, this may be Health, social enterprise, Community, and wellbeing sectors.
Operational development, including online and social media applications.
Experience in service delivery in private and/or not-for-profit sectors.
Ability to network and build relationships with diverse stakeholders and work across all sectors of the community, with knowledge of the volunteer and peer workforce.
Knowledge of the running and walking community and the transformative power that this community offers others.
Commitment to continuous improvement to achieve great outcomes for all.
Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the importance of developing cultural competencies in our work.
