We have a rare opportunity to join our executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer, bringing clinical and management expertise together to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.As the Chief Operating Officer at Mercy Hospital, you will be responsible for:Providing leadership, management, development and vision to support Mercy in delivering excellence in patient careDeveloping strategies, alongside the executive team, to enhance Mercy's growth and sustainabilityFostering a welcoming and inclusive culture with an emphasis on quality, clinical excellence and values alignmentEnsuring strategies are translated into operational objectives and cascaded down to service delivery teams, actively monitoring the delivery of these and their effectivenessCritically analysing service delivery functions to ensure they are safe, legally compliant, patient centric and delivering maximum effectiveness.
Identifying and implementing corrective actions, where needed.Supporting and empowering teams to enhance patient, staff and visitor experiencesActively reviewing and implementing changes to streamline service provisions with a 'top of scope' and clinical excellence focusMaintaining clinical currency, engaging with national groups, committees and organisations to identify and implement opportunities to enhance patient outcomesPartnering with credentialled specialists to support a collaborative approach to careThe successful candidate will possess strong relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills, along with a proven ability to influence and implement change.
