Leading in innovation, they operate one of the largest tourism operations in the South Pacific, offering an array of award-winning products and services.Due to an internal transfer within the senior leadership team, we now seek a COO to join the team in 2025. The successful applicant will be an operationally focused champion who will lead and be responsible for all marine, logistical, hospitality, reservations, customer services, and human resource aspects of the business.The COO role will have up to six General Managers (and/or equivalent positions) as direct reports, and 300+ staff both directly and indirectly within their areas of responsibility. This is a challenging, but extremely rewarding role for someone who wants to play an integral role within the business and who wants to contribute to the current and future success of the business at a very senior level.The success of the role requires an incumbent that will deliver and ensure the following:Lead and manage all operational and people related aspects to industry best practice.Play an integral role in achieving the company's strategic objectives and targets.Lead and facilitate the overall management, performance, development, and retention processes.Use and implement technology to achieve better outcomes.Have a strong focus on safety, compliance, and OHS.A strong understanding of all areas of tourism related hospitality including F&B.Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and the wider tourism industry.Implement and drive management systems to ensure a high product delivery across all aspects of the business.Have the foresight, skills, and preparedness to handle operational challenges and crisis management.Identify, attract, retain and develop key talent across all areas of the Company.Understand and contribute heavily to the commercial aspects including budgets with responsibility for overall OPEX.To deliver this role to the level required, applicants must demonstrate the following capabilities and experience:Proven record in a similar position and/or be able to demonstrate a strong desire to develop the necessary skills to progress your senior leadership career.Delivered successful strategic and operational results within a large organization.Excellent leadership and commercial acumen to understand and deliver positive commercial results.Experienced in both operational and management reporting and presenting key papers to support business decisions.Has a positive reputation with a good network both within and outside the tourism industry.Skilled in planning, reviewing and forecasting OPEX and making sound assumptions that support current and future business levels.Have an outstanding record in building internal and external relationships.The salary package includes market leading salary, company vehicle, medical insurance, all visa costs, KPI bonus, multiple R&R flights, and use of company assets.
