General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)

Due to the significant growth this business is embarking on, they need a leadership, people and culture leader that is commercially driven and understands the impact that great leadership can have as a multiplier effect on growth companies.
You will have a reputation as a great leader, with the ability to impact leadership across every level of the organisation to level up, take a forward-thinking approach and be constantly aware of the connection between people and the return on investment as the company grows.
This dynamic business has grown from strong family and iwi foundations to enhance environments for whanau, businesses and communities across Aotearoa, delivering projects that make a lasting impact for clients, families and local hapori.
You will work closely with the executive team, directly reporting to the chief executive and your broad role will be focused on leading the people, culture, safety and organisational development teams and work across the following areas:
Leadership Development: Create and implement programs to develop leadership skills in current and future leaders across the organisation.
Culture and Values: Ensure that leadership practices reflect and reinforce the company's culture, values, and mission.
Succession Planning: Identify and grow potential leaders, ensuring there is a pipeline of talent ready to take on key roles.
Executive Coaching: Work closely with the executive team to provide coaching and development, enhancing their leadership capabilities.
Change Management: Lead leadership efforts during times of transformation or growth, ensuring effective communication and support for teams through change.
Strategic Alignment: Ensure that leadership efforts align with overall business strategy and long-term goals.

You may have a background in people and culture, but will be a proven leader and have a reputation for lifting and developing leaders. It is essential that you combine your people lens, with a strong commercial focus.
You will be able to combine being bold, with being pragmatic and solutions focused. Not scared to roll up your sleeves, it's more likely you have worked in mid-sized growth organisations where you build the strategy and play a key part in the implementation.
