This is a unique opportunity for you to shape a finance team, implement strategic reforms, and contribute to the education system's mission of creating positive outcomes for children and communities.As CFO, you will be a key member of the Corporate Leadership Team, overseeing the Ministry's strategic financial capabilities, compliance, and continuous improvement of finance-related support services. You will manage the financials for one of the Government's largest property portfolios and operating budgets. Leading a team of approximately 100 people, this role goes beyond the numbers. You will provide leadership that ensures a highly engaged team with unwavering trust, while supporting multiple users in providing insightful financial information critical for decision-making.Principal responsibilities of this position include:Financial strategy - Provide strategic financial advice and medium to long term financial plans to the Senior Leadership Team to ensure optimal management of resources.Financial planning - Lead and manage the financial planning responsibilities, including the budgeting, CAPEX and treasury functions.Financial management and services - Provide high quality and cost-effective financial management services, systems, processes and financial and business advice.Financial systems and improvement – Lead the strategy, planning and implementation of finance system and process improvements.Leadership – Provide strategic leadership of the finance team within Corporate Services.About you | Mohou akeWe are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader who excels in driving cultural and operational transformation within a complex organisational environment.
