Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Employment Type: Full timeTe Tohu o Te Ora o Ngati Awa is one of the largest Iwi providers of Integrated social, health and education services in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.We are looking for an experienced financial leader to join our Finance Team as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), supporting the Chief Executive Officer, Board and Executive Leadership Team.As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will be a key contributor to ongoing strategy development, whilst driving increased levels of financial rigour and accountability. A key function of the role is to provide strategic direction on all matters relating to the Organisation's financial appropriations and the identification of financial risks and opportunities. The CFO is the advisor on matters relating to the financial performance of the Organisation. Additionally, the CFO is also responsible for providing financial reporting and ensuring the effective delivery of strategic financial, management and tax accounting services.Qualifications and Experience:A University Degree or equivalent academic attainment in Commerce/FinanceQualified Chartered Accountant in New ZealandA full clean NZ driver's licenseExperience, knowledge and understanding of Finance, Economics and Accounting reportsA minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior leadership roleDemonstrated people management experience in leading high performing teamsExperience in project managementStrong corporate finance skills and experienceHigh level of understanding and interpretation of information and data analysisHigh level of competence across the Microsoft suite of applications, Xero and MYOBAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people in all situationsAbility to pay attention to detail, be methodical, and demonstrate a high level of accuracyAbility to manage changing prioritiesDemonstrated confidence and motivationSelf-managing, works well under pressureProfessional, well presented and approachableHonest, high standards of integrityWhat is on offer?Flexible work hours and opportunitiesRegular training and professional development opportunitiesAn opportunity to have a positive impact on your communityOnsite and reduced childcare feesHealth Insurance – Eligibility criteriaPlease only apply for these roles if you are eligible to work in New Zealand.To apply for this vacancy, visit nash.org.nz/vacancies to complete an online application form or phone Human Resources on 07 306 0096.
