Great opportunity for an experienced, commercially driven CFO to join a successful privately owned NZ business that has a proud and impressive history of growth, well-established, and is a highly reputable manufacturer.

Head office is based in Rotorua so this will require someone who is open and interested in relocating for a great opportunity.
The role:
Reporting to the CEO & to the board; you will lead financial strategy, stewardship and people leadership. Building on a solid foundation; your role will be to assess, analyse, and enhance financial reporting & insights to support continued growth and commercial decision-making. You will lead and mentor a Finance team, providing guidance, ongoing development and building their presence across the wider business.

You will provide financial strategy & leadership across:

Manufacturing & Operations.
Sales, Marketing, and new markets
Business process and continuous improvement
Business planning, recommendations and scenario modelling supporting the CEO & COO.
This is a rewarding and challenging role for a growth-orientated CFO. Working in an established business, you will need to be happy getting hands-on to understand the workings and drivers behind the business whilst proactively identifying areas where financial insights could better support activities.

Your skills and experience:
Aside from being an experienced CFO/Finance Lead (CA/CPA qualified ideally), you will need to have exceptional communication and influencing skills, be able to navigate the history of the business, across different levels and areas of the business whilst identifying areas where evolution and deep of finance will make a significant impact.

You must have experience in a Manufacturing environment and be comfortable with cost/operations accounting.

You will need to be big picture thinker who can get into the detail when required, supporting the CEO with growth and CI initiatives.

You are a natural leader, passionate about building and developing team capability, skills, and experience; championing your team across the business.
