Full timeThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team and the commercial co-pilot to the General Manager. Responsible for the strategic oversight of the accounting, finance and legal functions of the business and our clients, including risk management, body corporate funding, financial reporting and forecasting, client reporting and tax management, compliance, and commercial decision making. The CFO plays a critical role in shaping the company's future direction and growth.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a key advisor to the General Manager and board of directors on financial matters, including risk management, funding strategies, and long-term financial planning.Provide quality employee performance and portfolio analysis, development of a KPI reporting framework, advice into body corporate funding and commercial decision making, and development of strategies to optimise financial performance.Lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.Oversee the preparation of financial reports and tax returns for BBCL entities and all clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide leadership and direction to the finance and accounts team including overall responsibility for performance, recruitment, and ongoing training and development.Collaborate with other executives to drive growth initiatives.Ensure robust internal controls are in place to appropriately protect client funds and limit BBCL risk exposure, and ensure compliance with financial regulations, unit titles legislation, and corporate policies.Lead efficiency projects that ensure the accounting and finance team is appropriately leveraging technology to maximise productivity.Take responsibility for IT, HR, insurance and office lease processes and practices and ensure BBCL utilises best practice risk management tools and structures.Support the Board of Directors with the financial and risk management components of governance.Skills & Experience:A strong executive leader with strategic vision, bringing significant experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the financial services, professional services, insurance, body corporate management, or property management industry.Can demonstrate significant experience establishing robust internal control processes and procedures and managing complex compliance requirements.The ability to provide pragmatic and commercially focused financial direction and guidance with both a financial and compliance lens.A high level of integrity and professional ethics with a self-starting attitude and resilience.The Executive Team is focused on creating a market-leading professional services firm and are looking for an individual who is innovative, collaborative and fully invested in BBCL's goals and objectives.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
