Taking responsibility for yourself and encouraging others to do the best.Quality: It's the daily pursuit of continued improvement, executing every small detail better than before.Legacy: We are always looking to the future; we aim to leave a legacy for the next generation that follows us.We are currently looking for an experienced CFO to join our Executive Leadership Team (ELT).The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead and oversee the critical shared services functions across the entire GCH Aviation Group, ensuring their seamless integration and alignment with the company's overall strategic goals.
This position is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, supporting strategic growth, and ensuring the effective and compliant delivery of financial and operational services.
The CFO will work closely with the heads of each business unit to deliver excellence in shared services, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvements.The role requires a dynamic and forward-thinking leader who is committed to optimizing the company's resources, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting the diverse needs of the business units across GCH Aviation.We are looking for a Leader who:resonates with our values.is a people-person, a team player who enjoys relationship building, mentoring, and joining in with various social events.is a dynamic and forward-thinking leader.is a strong problem-solver with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive results.is a proactive, strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to leadership and execution.is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.To be a successful applicant, you will require the following:tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or business management.Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent would be advantageous.At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in financial management, shared services, or a similar role within a complex, multi-functional environment.Demonstrated experience in overseeing financial services, HR, IT, operations, and compliance functions, ideally in the aviation or a related sector.proven experience in change management.With bases throughout New Zealand, our CFO will be required to travel away from Christchurch and attend Board and other work functions after hours.Health and Safety is what we do, on the ground and in the air.
