$64k per year, 25hrs p/w, flexi location within NZThe person in this role can be based anywhere in NZ.Steiner Education Aotearoa New Zealand's vision is to support, promote, represent and advocate for the healthy development of Steiner Waldorf education in contemporary, diverse contexts. We do this by working directly with our members - early childhood centres and schools, the ministry of education and partner organisations such as the Association of Integrated Schools. SEANZ is well established and has strong relationships with members and partners throughout the education system. We have clear strategic and annual plans which support us to mature the Steiner Waldorf education sector in NZ and ensure our members have the support they need. We are passionate about Steiner Waldorf education, and offer flexible working arrangements plus have a fantastic Board to work with.Qualifications & experienceA strong alignment with the mission and values of SEANZ.Proven experience of senior level strategic leadership, governance and management in a Steiner Waldorf education setting, in New Zealand or Australia.A sound knowledge of the essential curriculum themes and purposes of the curriculum from early childhood to Class 12, along with a sound understanding of the anthroposophical basis that informs the curriculum, teaching practice and school structure in New Zealand.Ability to develop and implement visionary strategies for education and organisational growth.Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.Tasks & responsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and management to achieve the organisation's goals and ensure its long-term sustainability.Build and maintain strong relationships with members, government agencies, educational providers, funders, and the public.Represent SEANZ publicly, enhancing its reputation and influence in the educational sector.Ensure that SEANZ operates with best practices in governance, financial management, and organisational culture.Work with a network of people that are passionate about Steiner Waldorf education.
