They will bring demonstrable artistic credibility, business acumen and entrepreneurial flair to this exceptional cultural organisation, along with a track record in successful revenue generation.The NZSO is Aotearoa/New Zealand's national orchestra, an autonomous Crown entity recognised as an outstanding orchestra of international stature. It performs 60 concerts each year in more than 20 different communities across New Zealand, as well as providing multiple opportunities for people of all ages to learn and engage with the orchestra. They will have proven experience in leading and unifying an organisation successfully through change with a strong focus on building organisational culture, driving organisational, artistic and audience growth.Purpose of the RoleWorking in close collaboration with the Board, senior leadership team, the musicians and stakeholders, the Chief Executive provides vision and leadership to deliver NZSO's long term aspirations, balancing artistic achievement with financial performance.Scope of the RoleThe position is a full-time role based in Wellington with considerable travel involved.
