A Charitable Trust, founded in 1981, Hospice Waikato was established to deliver specialist community palliative care within the Waikato, looking after those who have a life-limiting or life-threatening illness.
With a workforce of 130 and over 600 volunteers, we wrap a cloak of care around not only the patient but also their family and whanau, offering a variety of disciplines that combine to make end-of-life better, every time.
We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation and its people, with an immediate and intentional focus on financial and workforce sustainability.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working in a senior leadership capacity within a multi-faceted operational environment.
They will have experience in leading a diverse workforce and easily gain the trust and respect of all those they interact with.
The ability to network and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and build purposeful relationships is crucial, as is comfort in both the modern IT environment and human resource management.
Equally important is the person's commitment to embedding our CARE values in everything we do, every day.
The candidate will have, or be willing to develop, an in-depth understanding of healthcare, a willingness to embrace tikanga Maori, and a sound understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
