This future focused partnership has created Lumina Lamb. Born out of a need to do things differently, collaborating with the best scientists, geneticists, processors, and innovative farmers, the joint venture company is selling premium lamb branded as Lumina Lamb, boasting unique product specifications to discerning food service channels around the world.Farmer suppliers to Headwaters NZ are looking to achieve greater financial returns from producing a branded product through a defined farming system and are connected to their customer. Headwaters farmers will supply over 240,000 Lumina lambs in the coming year with forecast growth continuing to come from increased consumer demand. Headwaters is looking to continue its leadership role across the NZ sheep farming industry. Innovation is at the heart of the business with a purpose statement to "Create and unlock value for Headwaters Sheep and Beef farmers."The Role:We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Headwaters into its next phase of growth and innovation. As the CEO, you will develop and implement the 3-5 year strategic plan to drive the company's vision and long term growth, while overseeing commercial success, financial planning and reporting. This role will additionally have responsibility for the CEO functions of the High Health Alliance (HHA) - a Joint Venture and will work closely with Alliance Group to further develop the Lumina Lamb value chain. A key part of your role will be spent growing the business and bringing on new suppliers of the right size and scale to maximize innovative business collaboration opportunities. You will lead a small team fostering open communication and a positive team culture while working closely with the new Chairs of Headwaters and HHA to align on strategic initiatives and company goals. Your natural ability to build lasting, credible relationships in a high performing environment will be essential along with building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers and industry leaders.The Person:We are searching for a seasoned leader with previous GM/CEO experience who can demonstrate strong strategic and commercial capabilities but is equally prepared to roll up their sleeves and lead from the front. You will be ambitious and innovative, driving business growth with a focus on operational excellence. A critical component of your success will be your strong sales and marketing expertise, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to shape and execute strategic plans that boost revenue and market share. Your ability to cultivate relationships with farmers, industry leaders, and stakeholders, understanding their unique needs, will be crucial.
