Our Rotorua Pacific Island Development Charitable Trust (RPIDCT) is dedicated to empowering our Pacific community through education, health, Financial Wellbeing and Cultural development initiatives. We are committed to preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainable growth within our community. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next phase of growth and impact.
Position Overview
In line with the Vision, mission and Strategic Plan for the RPIDCT, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for providing leadership, managing operations, and driving the mission and vision of the Trust. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Trustees, stakeholders, and communities to develop and implement initiatives that address the needs of Pacific people.
Key Responsibilities
In consultation and approval of the Board of Governors, your key responsibilities are:
Provide overall strategic leadership and direction to the RPIDCT Staff.
Develop and implement strategic plans, programs, and policies that align with the Trust's mission.
Oversee the Trust's operations, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with regulations.
Foster good working relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and donors.
Drive fundraising and resource mobilization efforts to support the Trust's activities.
Represent the Trust in public forums, media, and with key partners to enhance visibility and advocacy.
Lead and inspire a diverse team, promoting a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
Carryout other related duties appropriate to your role as the Chief Executive Officer of the Rotorua Pacific Islands Development and Charitable Trust
Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the non-profit, community, or public sectors.
A strong commitment to the values, culture, and aspirations of Pacific communities.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and team leadership.
Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and resource mobilization.
Familiarity with financial management and budgeting processes.
A relevant tertiary qualification in management, business administration, social sciences, or a related field is desirable.
Required Experience
A minimum of 5-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including at least 5 years in an executive or senior management role.
Demonstrated success in leading and managing non-profit or community-based organizations, with a focus on Pacific communities.
Experience working with boards of trustees, government bodies, and community stakeholders.
Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and achieving organizational goals.
Experience in advocacy, public relations, and representing an organization at a senior level.
Proven success in fundraising and securing financial support from diverse sources, including government grants, private donors, and corporate sponsors.
Experience in managing complex budgets and financial plans, with a strong understanding of non-profit financial management.
