The essence of this pivotal role is to have a core focus on three key outcomes: ADVOCACY To be the trusted representative voice, and take clear positions on behalf of Northland business. NETWORK & COLLABORATE To be the confident front-person for regular and well-structured events that bring businesses and associated organisations together. To support membership growth for Northchamber. BUSINESS SUPPORT & DEVELOPMENT To support wide-ranging initiatives for enhancing business capability and capacity across our region. Work with our local government entities to encourage them to be enablers for growth. To build and grow relationships with stakeholders and strategic partners. This is a position of influence. The CEO will be instrumental in fostering a supportive and inclusive culture for entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes and sectors. The CEO reports directly to the Chamber Board and manages a small team of dedicated support staff and the P&L of the organization. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NorthChamber) is a non-profit membership organisation representing the full spectrum of business interests throughout Northland / Te Tai Tokerau. We are well advanced in our journey to a new joint venture with EMA, to form Business Tai Tokerau, bringing a new level of business support to our region. You must be eligible to work in New Zealand and ideally live in Northland. You will have senior leadership experience with the NZ business landscape as well as the not-for-profit and/or public sector.
