This Chief Executive role combines a strategic and commercial leadership mandate with a view to further building the asset structure, performance and return of a significant asset portfolio forGisborne.Theright person will take the lead in steering future strategy, growth, direction, andfootprint for Tairawhiti.
Gisborne Holdings is aCouncil-Controlled Trading Organisation owned by Gisborne District Council (GDC). Our asset portfolio spans a range of significant commercial, community, and property-based investments. We are looking for a leader experienced in reporting to a commercial board who can ensure we make the best use of our unique commercial position, skills, and relationships to better support the Counciland make Tairawhiti a better place
As Chief Executive, you will have the overall responsibility for providing effective leadership and vision for our holding company to continue to grow responsibly in a commercial, profitable, and sustainable way.You will partner with the board and your team to lead the commercial and investment strategy and development plans to further grow and strengthen the company and ensure its sustainability. Youwillalso be steering thefinancial,credit, risk andoperating performance of the investment portfolioand ensuring the investments and capital structures across the portfolio are structured for optimalreturns.
We are looking for an outward-thinking, innovative and stakeholder-focused approach. You mustbe astrongcommercial leader and highly capable ofbuildingrelationships and leadinga broad rangeofstakeholders across our region. You will have the engagement, risk management and strategic ability skill set that means you can lead future direction and growth. You will also be willing to roll your sleeves up and be accountable for the successful management of this investment portfolio. Previous exposure to a mix ofcommercial, property investment, financial services, and experiencerelating tocapital structures and risk management willbe important. Either way, you will be an ethically driven, achievement-focused leader who can relate to and feel confident steering the future growth and resilience of a range of key investments in Tairawhiti.
