They provide a 24/7 crisis response team offering immediate emotional and social work support, guidance through the justice system, and interim counselling. They also deliver long-term counselling and therapeutic services tailored to individual needs, and connect individuals and whanau to external resources for additional support.CSC is committed to a compassionate, culturally appropriate approach, emphasising dignity and respect in all interactions. Their ultimate aim is to empower survivors on their journey toward healing and recovery.About the Role:The Chief Executive is crucial to fulfilling the organisation's purpose by being the exemplar of the values of the organisation to embody the approach they take to the individuals and whanau they support.In terms of scope and scale, there are some 35 FTEs, with a revenue base of several million dollars. The Chief Executive takes an overview of the entire organisation to work toward the following outcomes:Ensure all individuals and whanau are respectfully treated, and services are accessibleEnsure that CSC is well connected to regional and national authorities, successful in partnerships, securing funding and appropriately advancing advocacyDevelop sustainable actions to reduce sexual harm in AotearoaStrengthen our community visibility and partnershipsBe a trauma-informed workplaceEnsure that our kaimahi, and governance, are invested in professionally, that staff are highly engaged, well-resourced, safe in their workplaces, and all our interactions are highly professionalGrow the organisation in capability with Te Reo me ona TikangaAbout You:To be successful in this role, we are looking for a leader with the right heart for this work and a demonstrated track record in a related area - experienced with similar work, clients, and the pathway of securing funding and growing in the organisation's scope and reach.The person will not need to be a sector expert in trauma, but if not, then they need to grow into this understanding very quickly.By nature of the role, you will need to have a credible alignment with the organisation and its values and beliefs.We see this role as more outward-facing than inward.
