What You'll Do: Be the strategic heartbeat of our leadership, ensuring Whakaata Maori stays on course to meet its long-term goals and cultural vision.Lead and guide Te Tari Kaihautu (Chief Executive Office), driving cross-functional initiatives that align with both the strategic direction of the organisation and the values of te ao Maori.Forge strong relationships with government agencies and stakeholders, ensuring the voice of Whakaata Maori is heard and supported at the highest levels.Coordinate and manage leadership teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless execution of our strategic projects.Oversee government relations and project management, ensuring that every initiative, from cultural revitalisation to media innovation, stays aligned with the organisation's mission.What You Bring: A deep understanding of te ao Maori and a passion for integrating Maori cultural values into everything you do.10+ years of experience in strategic leadership, advisory roles, or governance, with a proven track record in project management and government relations.A natural communicator and collaborator, able to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders alike, including key government agencies.Proactive leadership that anticipates challenges and opportunities, driving organisational growth and cultural success.Fluency in te reo Maori, or a strong commitment to learning, is highly desirable.Why Whakaata Maori?
