Cherry Packers

A Central Otago Stonefruit Orchard is looking for Packhouse Staff to join our team for the 2024-2025 season. The role goes from the week of the 9 th of December to the week of the 20 th of January.
The workdays will go from 7 am to 3.30 pm up to 6 days a week. These hours and days can be subject to change due to picking numbers or weather conditions; this will be communicated to staff.

We ideally would like someone who:
Has had experience in packing fruit commercially.
Has an eye for detail.
Able to work on their feet all day.
Desires to work efficiently and to the best of their abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with all staff members.
Proficient in spoken English.
Able to perform laborious tasks repeatedly (involves lifting, bending, etc.).
Works well in a team environment and independently.
Able to pick up skills quickly.
Accommodation is available on request but very limited. We have a site for tents and campervans, and cabins.
