About The Role Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will apply advanced chemical analysis techniques to optimize processes and solve operational problems to assist in the achievement of the Mills performance targets.
Your responsibilities will include: Ensure conformance to EHS&R standards, ensuring best practices and processes are in place.
Liaise with operations staff to ensure adherence to quality control testing methods and standards.
Identify and implement improvements to costs, laboratory methods and systems.
Lead a small team, manage costs, support and assist with routine testing roles in laboratory.
Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Remain current with Pulp and Paper technology and laboratory analysis techniques.

Demonstrate formal training or experience using advanced analytical equipment.
Experience working in a Laboratory, ideally in an industrial environment.
Effective problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
Ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
Enjoy working in a team environment.
