We are currently looking for an exceptional Chef to join our Senior Living Site CHT Amberlea in Algies Bay, Warkworth . This is a Permanent Part Time Position on weekends!
Our Chefs are at the very heart of what we do. Hundreds of thousands of people around New Zealand rely on us every day to provide their breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and serve quality meals for our customers.
Cook within budget.
Assist with ordering and menu development while ensuring the health and wellbeing of our customers through allergen and nutrition management.
Cater for functions as required and assist with general kitchen and cleaning duties.
Experience with creating salads, sandwiches, and cafe-style cabinet food.
Experience in baking and pastry is a bonus.
Be hard-working, reliable, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Experience in buffet, a la carte, and interactive cooking.
Have an excellent understanding of hygiene, health, and food safety practices in a food environment.
Demonstrate a passion for food, people, customer service, and quality.
Have excellent communication skills.
Preferably hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168).
